Court of Auditors criticises length of personnel selection procedure

Brussels, 17/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 16 July, the European Court of Auditors published a special report giving a mitigated assessment of the effectiveness of the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) when it comes to selecting officials of the European institutions. The Court considers that EPSO, which was created in 2002, has successfully managed to cope with the rise (due to enlargements) in the number of general competitions for selecting agents.
