Energy giants E.ON and GDF to be fined

Brussels, 03/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - According to German media reports, the European Commission is preparing to fine French energy giant GDF Suez and Germany's E.ON AG for reaching an illegal agreement. The Commission may decide to fine the two gas suppliers up to 10% of their turnover on Wednesday 8 July 2009, according to reports in Germany's business paper Handelsblatt.
