Immigration is “threat for democracy” in Greece

Brussels, 03/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 2 July, Immigration Commissioner Jacques Barrot warned against the risk of democracy being thrown off balance in Greece due to the large inflow of migrants from Turkish shores. “There is a major risk of democracy being thrown off balance in Greece because of uncontrolled migration”, he said during a press conference in Brussels.
