03/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 3 July, the European Commission announced the addition of two names of products to the list of protected designations of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indications ( PGI) These are the British meat product, the “Melton Mowbray Pork Pie” (PDO), and Italian “Aceto balsamico di Modena” vinegar (PGI). Also, the Polish bakery product, “Pierekaczewnik”, has been added to the list of guaranteed traditional specialties (GTS). (L.C./transl.jl)
