Commission grants three member states additional time to comply with air quality legislation in some areas

Brussels, 02/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission made its decisions, on Thursday 12 July, on requests for temporary exemptions made by a number of member states which wanted an extension to the deadline set by Community legislation to meet air quality limit values for particulate matter (PM10) from 1 January 2005 to 10 June 2011.
