GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/state aid

02/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 30 June, the Commission approved prolongation of two state aid schemes, in Austria and Latvia. The Austrian measures make guarantees, capital and loans available to credit and insurance institutions. The Latvian programme focuses on guarantees for credit institutions. Both schemes are considered in line with the communication on state aid authorised to address the financial crisis. (C.D./transl.jl)
