International financial institutions put conditions on increased funding to help Ukraine reform its gas industry

Brussels, 29/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission stressed the importance of ensuring security of gas supplies and uninterrupted transit of gas for European consumers in the winter, and will continue to be proactively involved in facilitating a solution to gas supply problems, explained the European Commission in a joint press release issued together with international financial institutions (EBRD, EIB, IMF and the World Bank) on Monday 29 June 2009.
