Commission deplores future introduction of tax for travel to United States and evokes possible retaliatory measures

Brussels, 29/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 June, Ambassador John Bruton, who heads the European Commission delegation to the United States, expressed his great concern regarding the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 pending before Congress, which provides for a $10 fee to be paid for entry to the United States in order to “promote leisure, business and scholarly travel” to that country.
