European social partners sign new parental leave agreement

Brussels, 17/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - Representatives of employers and workers at European level - BusinessEurope, ETUC (European trade unions), CEEP (general interest firms) and UEAPME (craft and small and medium-sized businesses) - will, on Thursday 18 June, sign the revised framework agreement on parental leave. Social Affairs, Employment and Equal Opportunities Commissioner Vladimir Špidla will attend the signing.

The new framework agreement is the result of six months of negotiation...
