Summit to give Barroso political support and launch consultation with EP - Members of EPP make demands

Brussels, 17/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - It seems to be an acquired fact that the heads of state and government of the EU will, on Thursday evening at the European Council, express their political support for renewal of José Manuel Barroso's tenure at the head of the European Commission without formally proceeding to legal nomination of their candidate to the post.
