Commission gives cautious welcome to Microsoft's announcement on sale of Windows without internet Explorer

Brussels, 12/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - Microsoft announced on Thursday 11 June that, in Europe, it would market its new operating system, Windows 7, without the built-in browser, Internet Explorer. This means that users of the European version of Windows 7 will be able to install the internet browser of their choice on their computer.
