€885 million loans for research and small businesses in Turkey

Brussels, 11/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank granted three loan agreements worth €885 million to Turkey on Monday 8 June.

The first, a €335 million facility, is to support public sector research activities. It will part-finance R&D activities performed by academic staff of the top 15 public universities in Turkey as well as investment in the scientific instruments and equipment required in all of the public universities of Turkey over the period 2008-2010.
