07/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - DG Trade at the European Commission is organising a meeting in Brussels on 21 April 2009 to inform stakeholders about the current negotiations over a multilateral deal to tackle counterfeiting, the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement or ACTA, and hear their views. The aim of ACTA is to provide a better system for countries involved in protecting intellectual property in order to respond rapidly to infringements of intellectual property rights (see EUROPE 9567).
