Limiting animal testing without hampering scientific progress

Brussels, 01/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - According to the European Parliament's agriculture committee, it is imperative to limit the use of animal testing in scientific experimentation procedures but this should be done without hurting European research or the fight against disease. Around 12 million animals are used for scientific research in the EU every year.
