25/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The president of the EPP-ED Group at the European Parliament, Joseph Daul, has said that the Bulgarian Centre-Right party was the best placed to combat corruption. “Corruption is far from being eradicated under the current regime and this is precisely the main concern of Bulgarians. We must put an end to this scourge”, Daul said concluding the meeting of his Bureau in Sofia on 20 March. “Our political family, the driving force of Europe, trusts its Bulgarian Centre-Right friends to change things for the better in their country”, he said, adding by way of conclusion: “It is high time for Bulgaria to get back on track”.
