10/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Tuesday 10 March , the European Parliament adopted the report by Vladimír Maòka (PES, Slovakia) on guidelines for the 2010 budget for institutions other than the European Commission by 610 votes to 21, with 41 abstentions. MEPs deplored the fact that the visitors' centre would not be established before the 2009 elections and requested full information as to the reasons for this delay. The EP pointed out that 2010 would be a year when the Parliament, after the 2009 European elections and the changes to its composition that that would bring, gradually resumed full activity. It noted that this implied a number of budgetary adjustments. (L.C./transl.rt)
