Romania too turns to EU for balance of payments support

Brussels, 10/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - Similarly to Hungary and Latvia beforehand, Romania has now indicated that it has requested international financial aid to meet its commitments. Bucharest has requested the European Commission's permission to be able to benefit from the Community balance of payments support mechanism.
