24/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the European Society of Cardiology sets out a recommendation for persons at risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) during long haul flights of over four hours. An article recently published in the medical review, The Lancet, states the risk is increased up to four-fold by long-haul flight.
