24/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission, on Monday 23 February, approved the acquisition of sole control of US company Advanced Medical Optics, Inc., which develops, manufactures and sells eye health care products by Abbott Laboratories also of the US. Abbott is active in the development, manufacture and sale of a diversified line of health care products. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (C.D./transl.rt)
