Sustainable development intergroup renamed climate and biodiversity intergroup ahead of European elections

Brussels, 12/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - As an acknowledgement of commitment towards meeting the two greatest environmental challenges of our times, which need the full attention of political decision makers, the European Parliament intergroup on sustainable development, a political forum for reflection and expertise created over 10 years ago, has decided, ahead of the European elections, to rename itself the intergroup on climate and biodiversity.
