03/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Friday 31 October that it had approved the concentration by which Goldman Sachs Private Equity Holding L.P., controlled by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (“Goldman Sachs”) of the USA, will acquire joint control over Appliances Components Companies S.p.A. (“ACC”) of Italy, Bianchi Vending Group S.p.A. (“Bianchi”) of Italy and Finder S.p.A. (“Finder”) of Italy and the group of companies controlled by each of them, collectively “the Target Companies”, by way of purchase of shares. The business activities of the undertakings concerned are - for ACC: manufacture of motors for wet industry (washing machines, dryers and dishwashers) and compressors for commercial and household refrigerators; - for Bianchi: manufacture of vending machines; - for Finder: manufacture of industrial pumps and filters.
