Ministers approve contribution to European Council on coordinated strategy in response to the economic slowdown

Brussels, 08/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - Ahead of next week's European Council, EU finance ministers, on Tuesday 7 October, adopted conclusions on the economic slowdown. The text includes messages agreed at Nice (see EUROPE 9740) and elements relating to the Commission communication on 10 years of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) - EMU@10 - (see EUROPE 9656 and 9657).
