07/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - The EU has strongly condemned the attack carried out in Bhakkar in the Punjab on 6 October targeting Pakistan MP Rashid Akbar Nowani which caused many victims among the ordinary population. It was an unacceptable attack on the Pakistani national parliament and, thus, on the values of democracy, the French Presidency of the EU said in a statement. The EU expressed its full solidarity with the Pakistani government in its fight against terrorism. (H.B./transl.rt)
