German, French and Benelux TSOs form joint services firm CASC-CWE

Brussels, 02/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - With the formation on Wednesday 1 October of their joint cross-border services firm CASC-CWE (Capacity Allocation Service Company for the Central West European Electricity Market), the transmission system operators EnBW, E.ON, Netz and RWE from Germany, Elia from Belgium, RTE from France, Cegedel from Luxembourg, and Tennet from the Netherlands have taken a huge step towards an integrated electricity market in Europe.
