Parliament encourages member states to keep their promises on development aid, failing which, MDG won't be reached

Brussels, 24/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the United Nations conference (New York, 25 September) on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) mid-term review and in view of the forthcoming UN conference on the follow-up to the Monterrey commitments on development funding (Doha, 29 November- 2 December), Parliament considers that time is running out as European aid dries up and the MDG find themselves under threat.
