Economic situation and state of play on financial stability on menu for Finance Ministers' informal meeting

Brussels, 09/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - Two issues dominate the agenda of the informal meeting of the Ecofin Council to be held in Nice on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 September: putting in place a common diagnosis on the current economic situation and the state of play in work on financial stability (see EUROPE 9660 and 9637), and convergence of oversight practices of cross-border financial institutions.
