Brussels, 22/08/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 22 August, the European Commission released emergency humanitarian aid worth €5 million for the civilian victims of the conflict in Georgia. The aid, which is in addition to the initial €1 million release on 10 August, is accompanied by a call to the Russian authorities to facilitate access to the people in need.
