President Pöttering welcomes Ingrid Betancourt, who is invited to European Parliament

Brussels, 08/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - Opening the July plenary session of the European Parliament (EP), its president, Hans-Gert Pöttering, welcomed the release of Ingrid Betancourt and other FARC hostages, pointing out that the EP has always taken part in the attempts to gain her release, and calling on the FARC to put an end to their irresponsible behaviour. Ms Betancourt has been invited to go to the European Parliament whenever it suits her once she has fully recovered from her...
