Brussels, 25/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - After a long embargo on Polish meat, Russia has for several months refused exports of pigmeat and poultrymeat from a (growing) list of EU companies. Russia is justifying these restrictions by the fact that these products contain traces of antibiotics. There are said to be around 70 companies in seven EU member states (mainly Denmark, but also Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Hungary) temporarily deprived of a Russian market.
