19/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - By approving several reports by Lidia Joanna Geringer de Oedenberg (PES, Poland), the European Parliament, on Tuesday 17 June, gave the go-ahead to the codification of the following legislative acts: - directive 68/151/EEC on the coordination of safeguards which, for the protection of the interests of members and third parties, are required by member states of companies, with a view to making such safeguards equivalent; - directive 89/662/EEC on reciprocal recognition of navigability licences for inland waterway vessels; - directive 91/520/EEC on the legal protection of computer programmes; - directive 78/855/EEC on mergers of public limited liability companies. The same was the case for the report by József Szájer (EPP-ED, Hungary) on the recast of directive 96/74/EC on textile names. (M.B./transl.rt)
