Strasbourg, 19/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - European Commission and Iraqi government negotiators were to meet in Brussels on 19 and 20 June to continue talks launched in November 2006 for an EU/Iraq Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). Trade in services, investment, financial services and telecommunications, macroeconomic dialogue, plant and animal health issues, public procurement, intellectual property rights, cooperation on statistics, the fight against drug trafficking, organised crime, corruption and the funding of terrorism, as well as regional cooperation and migration were covered in discussion headed by Deputy Director General at the Commission's DG on External Relations, Hugues Mingarelli, and Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister Mohamed Hamoud Bidan.
