Brussels, 18/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 17 June, the European Parliament approved the report by David Casa (EPP-ED, Malta) by 579 votes to 17, with 86 abstentions, thereby giving the green light to Slovakia's accession to the euro area from 1 January 2009.
