Brussels, 12/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - The first meeting of the high level group on the competitiveness of the agri-foodstuffs industry was held in Brussels on Thursday 12 June. The group was chaired by European Commission Vice President Günter Verheugen and composed of Commissioners Mariann Fischer Boel (agriculture), Meglena Kuneva (consumer protection), Androulla Vassiliou (health), as well as senior policy makers from the public and private sector.
