12/06/2008 (Agence Europe) - The French Presidency will hold a European conference on integration in Vichy, (France) on 3-4 November, French Immigration Minister Brice Hortefeux announced on Thursday 5 June. Some 200 participants, including the German and Belgian Home Affairs Ministers, were expected to attend, he said. The conference will be the third on the theme of integration, following on from those in Groningen (Netherlands) in 2004 and Potsdam (Germany) in 2007. “It will provide an opportunity for European Countries to exchange experiences on language, the family, schools, access to employment, housing, and other issues that determine integration,” Hortefeux said. The conference will also focus on “common European values which could become European integration references at European level”. (B.C./transl.rt)
