Brussels, 20/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration published on Monday 19 May, Béatrice Patrie (PES, France) calls for “serious re-assessment of the nature and modalities of Euro-Mediterranean political dialogue”. She appears concerned about the question of defending human rights, highlighted after French President Nicolas Sarkozy's visit to Tunis at the end of April. Sarkozy called for unconditional support for the Maghreb states to prevent their invasion by the Taliban.
