20/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission, accepting the advice from the European Medicines Agency, has just authorised the marketing of the first prepandemic anti-flu vaccine. Produced by GlaxoSlmithKline, this vaccine would be used to combat a flu pandemic resulting from the H5N1 strain of the virus (the virus combines three sub-types of this viral strain). (O.J.)
