EP calls on Burmese junta to facilitate humanitarian aid to cyclone victims and postpone referendum throughout country

Brussels, 07/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has called on the Burmese junta to “facilitate” international humanitarian aid to regions devastated by last week's Nargis cyclone. It is also requesting that the 24 May referendum on the draft constitution to be postponed for the entire country and not just for the regions affected by the disaster.
