Delegation of MEPs heads for Washington to promote international negotiations

Brussels, 25/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - A delegation of MEPs led by Guido Sacconi (PES, Italy), the president of the European Parliament's temporary committee on climate change, will be in Washington on 28-30 April. The delegation aims to discuss the fight against climate change with members of Congress, US officials and representatives from NGOs and thereby increase the chance of obtaining an international agreement on the UN post-2012 framework.
