08/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 7 April, the European Commission gave clearance to the proposed concentration whereby AAC Capital Partners (“AAC”, Netherlands) belonging to the group ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (“ABN AMRO”, Netherlands) and Polaris Private Equity (“Polaris”, Denmark) is to acquire joint control of the undertaking BabySam A/S (“BabySam”, Denmark) by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company constituting a joint venture. The business activities of the undertakings concerned are: - AAC: private equity; - ABN AMRO: provision of financial services; - Polaris: private equity; - and BabySam: retail distribution of baby clothing and equipment.
