02/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 2 April, the European Commission cleared the planned acquisition of the whole of Moeller Group, a German manufacturer of electrical engineering components and devices, by Eaton Corporation of the US. Eaton is a diversified industrial company. Its electrical division manufactures electrical products serving the industrial, utility, commercial, residential, IT and original equipment manufacturer markets worldwide. The investigation confirmed that the planned deal would be unlikely to raise competition concerns as the parties would continue to face strong competition from competitors such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Hager, Legrand and GE.
