Commission wants to create legal basis for Community funding of European regulatory committees

Brussels, 12/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has indicated that it is considering a draft decision designed to contribute from the European budget to the funding of the three European national committees of regulators (CESR, CEBS, CEIOPS) in the financial services sector. The announcement was made at the European Parliament on Tuesday 11 March in a response to a question from the committee on economic and monetary affairs concerning the review of the Lamfalussy process....
