06/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - Meeting on Tuesday 5 February in Geneva, the WTO General Council, which brings ambassadors together from member states, gave the green light to Ukraine's accession to the organisation governing world trade (EUROPE 9590). Ukraine will become the 152nd member of the WTO, following ratification by the national parliament on 4 July. (E.H.)
