06/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - Entretiens Européens,Confrontations Europe, along with the Centre pour la strategie énergétique européenne (CERES), is holding a conference on the “rebirth of nuclear energy, a challenge for Europe” in Paris on 27-28 March. Among the main speakers at the event, alongside the presidents of Confrontations Europe Philippe Herzog, Entretiens européens Claude Fischer, and CERES Rolf Linkohr, will be MEPs Atanas Paprizov (PES, Bulgaria), Herbert Reul (EPP-ED, Germany), Romana Jordan Cizelj (EPP-ED, Slovenia) and Jerzy Buzek (EPP-ED, Poland), and the heads of European energy companies, Anne Lauvergeon (Areva), Piero Gnudi (ENEL), Gérard Mestrallet (Suez), Pierre Gadonneix (EDF), Paolo Ruzzini (Slovenske Elektrarne) and also Russian Sergei Kirienko (Rosatom). Speaking on behalf of the Presidency of the Council of the EU and the European Commission will be the Slovenian ambassador to France Janez Sumrada and Deputy Director General of DG Energy Dominique Ristori respectively.
