Ms Merkel reaffirms her interest in Mediterranean after meeting with Mr Zapatero

Brussels, 04/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On the sidelines of a meeting in Majorca on 30 January with José Luis Zapatero, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that she was in favour of the development of a Mediterranean policy for the European Union, stating (quoted by the German press agency DPA) that the Barcelona process “could be a bit more lively, more intensive”.
