04/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 30 January, the European Commission presented, to the European Parliament and the Council, a proposal for the codification of the directive on the reciprocal recognition of navigability licences for inland waterway vessels. The codification, to simplify and clarify the text, will bring the original directive (76/135/EEC of 20 January 1976) and the various amendments subsequently incorporated into it into one single text.
