31/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission gave the green light on Wednesday 30 January to the planned merger whereby the companies Crédit Suisse Private Equity Inc. (“CSPE”, USA), part of the Crédit Suisse Group (“CSG”, Switzerland), General Electric Company (“GE”, USA) and Mubadala Development Company PJSC (“Mubadala”, United Arab Emirates) intend to take joint control of the company Mubadala Infrastructure Partners and Related Entities (“Mubadala Infrastructure”, United Arab Emirates) through the purchase of shares in a newly created company constituting a joint undertaking. The areas of activity of the companies involved are as follows: - CSG: global financial service group; - CSPE: corporate and private banking and asset management activities; - GE: various technologies and services; - Mubadala: direct investments; - Mubadala Infrastructure: portfolio management services.
