Council of Europe parliamentary assembly contests UN and EU “black lists”

Brussels, 24/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 23 January, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, adopted a resolution in which it described UN and EU procedures for putting people suspected of links with terrorism on a black list, as flouting fundamental rights.
