Recovery of wrongfully spent money

Brussels, 20/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - No fewer than 17 EU member states will have to repay a total of €256.3 million in wrongly spent farm money as a result of a decision adopted by the European Commission on Thursday 20 December. The main corrections are: €183.9 million charged to Spain for shortcomings or lack of checks on crop declarations and yields, and also on monitoring the controls of mills in the olive oil production sector; €16.6 million charged to the region of Andalusia in...
