Brussels, 18/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 14 December in Brussels, the European Commissioner for regional policy, Danuta Hubner, and Dick Roche, Irish Minister of State for European Affairs, signed the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF), approved by the European Commission last July (EUROPE 9478), as well as two Operational Programmes (OP) for cohesion policy implementation in Ireland 2007-13.
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF): worth up to €228.7 million for the “Border, Midland and Western” regional OP; €146.6 million for the “South Eastern” regional OP. These two regional OP are based on innovation, information and communication technologies, economy and knowledge, environment and risk prevention, urban development and improvement of secondary transport networks. Total ERDG investment therefore rises to €375.3 million. (G.B.)
