Strasbourg, 17/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has called on the EU member states and on the European Commission to work in favour of banning anti-personnel mines and for the destruction of stocks of such mines. Meeting in plenary in Strasbourg, MEPs adopted a resolution, on Thursday 13 December, on the 10th anniversary of the Ottawa Convention on the use, storage, production and transfer of anti-personnel mines.
